Bagdale Hall - Scarborough

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with plenty of tea and coffee facilities. I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful hotel. Very old building with authentic decor. Beams big fireplace and creaky floorboards! Bathroom very clean but decor a little tired ie silicon around Bath could do with replacing Perfect location. Approx 4 min walk from train station. Small car park to the rear. Limited spaces but staff helpful in providing space Breakfast very tasty. Good selection of continental plus cooked breakfast options Staff professional courteous and friendly Really enjoyable stay

This is our second time staying at Bagdale Hall and once again, it was excellent. The historic building is charming and we will definitely return in the future.

The restaurant was overpriced and we ended up leaving shortly after checking in. We paid £160 for one night in a 4 poster bed in a separate building from the main hotel. The room did not match the pictures advertised online, as the 4 poster bed was actually just a double bed with a large bed frame and no drapes or bed spread. The room was basic and not comfortable considering the high price we paid. The furniture was shabby, the room had a strange odor, and we were very disappointed overall. We decided to leave and explained our reasons at check out, but were told that the owners were out of the country and our comments would be passed along. No effort was made to exchange rooms or offer any sort of reimbursement. There are better hotels available for a lower price and higher quality. The only positive aspect was the location.

Lovely old building with on-site parking, an easy walk from everything Whitby has to offer. Room 1 is awesome, with a four-poster bed, red leather sofa and armchair. My first studio apartment was smaller than this.... Nice little bar for a nightcap and a hearty breakfast, and all the staff we met were friendly and efficient. Would stay again if ever in the area.
