Lucky House Chinese Take Away

The food at this restaurant was extremely bland - it seemed as though they were using leftover meat in their House Special dish. This was easily the worst Chinese food I have ever had.

A few of us didn't feel like going out on a rainy Sunday night, so we decided to order takeout from Lucky House. The Chinese food was typical but delicious, with generous portions and served hot. Although nothing particularly unique, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely order from them again. It's a shame they don't offer delivery, but it seems that most places in Whitby don't either.

The woman was extremely impolite and decided to cancel our order after making us wait for an hour and a half. She even hung up the phone when we asked for an explanation.

Walked in off the street for a take a way,they weren't very busy, didn't have to wait very long,the portion size of the meal was good,we enjoyed our meal very much,they only take cash.

It took 4 HOURS to get our food. we walked down from our rental, placed our order and was told 25 mins so we went in the pub next door to wait. we went back in 25 mins and was told another 25 mins, and so it went on. they were far more interested in the telephone orders than our order. it ended up being a group of 8 people (4 couples) all sat in the pub together waiting for our food. then when got back to our rental the order was wrong. luckily it was something we could eat as there was NO WAY WE WERE GOING BACK for another 4 hours. when i say it was something we could eat that is a bit if an overstatement too. the sauce was watery and COLD, how could it be cold after 4 hours of cooking!!??, and the chips were the worst chinese chips ever. IF I COULD LEAVE A MINUS RATING I WOULD!!!!!!
