Good food takes time to make. If you are in a rush call ahead to order ahead. Hidden gem with amazing food, you wont find NYC style food like this in the 518.. stop by and see for yourself!
Don't blink you will drive right by. There's no way you can finish one of these super stuffed sandwiches. She will probably make your sandwich to order but there is no need because the menu has pretty much anything you want and the combinations are beyond my imagination.
Okay, this is a place that you have to check out. Can't wait to go back and I just left. Some things to know. The owner whose name is Tina, is the only person that works here. What that means is you consistently get the same product every time. What else it means, is she's the only person working. You need to understand if she's busy you don't get a sandwich in 5 minutes. I called 45 minutes ahead. Told her I'd be there at 12:30. She had my sandwich 90% done. She didn't finish it because she wanted me to see that it was made fresh. That's the kind of love she has for making a sandwich. All the meats are cut fresh as a sandwich is ordered . I got the 8 meat Italian sandwich. Yes I said that correctly 8 meat! Ham, cappicola, spicy ham, pepperoni, Genoa salami, sweet soppersatta, hot soppersatta, and prosciutto. I prefer Mayo onion and jalapeno. With a little bit of oil. The jalapenos were freshly cut versus jarred jalapenos. It had a sharp provolone on it. And all of this was on top of a beautifully toasted Crispy Crunchy roll that she gets from the Bronx. I can't say enough about this sandwich. Was it a $6 sandwich? No. Was it worth every penny absolutely! I suggest everybody give this place a chance. She's located just past Schaghticoke on 40 headed towards Greenwich. If she's not too busy and you have a moment to have a conversation with her, you'll realize not just her sandwiches are wonderful.I was going to get a sandwich to go. But when you see how proud Tina is of her product. You realize to bring it home and put it in your fridge for a couple hours is disrespectful to her artwork in my opinion.I've added two photos of sandwiches she was making while I was there as well. One's a roast beef and the others an Italian
