Fandee's - Sebastopol

I arrived early for a breakfast with my girlfriends and called from the parking lot while finishing my makeup. I asked if I could provide my name and number for the next available table for three, as it seemed there would be a wait. She informed me that wasn't how it was done, stating that you must come in and wait for a table; she doesn’t take names or make calls. I found that a bit surprising, considering it’s a small restaurant and she didn't have a lot to do. It would benefit her—and the restaurant—to be a little more accommodating. Fortunately, we only had to wait about five minutes, which wasn't bad at all. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Our waitress was kind and friendly, making for a lovely overall experience.

We placed our orders and, after waiting over an hour, our food finally arrived. Unfortunately, both of our meals were cold and not very tasty. It was not the celebratory experience we had hoped for, and we both agreed that we would not be returning.

The restaurant had a cozy and clean atmosphere, and the patio was a lovely spot to sit. We visited between lunch and dinner, so it was a quieter time, but the service was still quite slow. We were disappointed because 4 out of the 5 dishes we ordered included avocado, but when our food arrived, there was no avocado on any of them. When we inquired about it, we were told that they were out of avocado. The waiter should have informed us of this while we were ordering, allowing us to make alternative choices if we wanted. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with good food, but they need to be more transparent about unavailable items and provide better customer service.

Burger was solid but that was THE most bland fried chicken I have ever tasted. The chicken was very moist and the outside was perfectly crispy but there were absolutely zero spices added to the batter. I cannot believe I finally found a place that mademe regret ordering fried chicken.

The good: the food was very good, especially for the price. The bad: we were sat in the last booth. Our server was pleasant enough, but after she brought our food, she said that she was going to bring salt and pepper. After waiting several minutes, wehad to get up and ask her to bring it. And that took a few min. Our cups were both empty on the edge of the table when shebrought it. She never came back to our table. Once again, after well over 10 minutes of eating with no drinks, we had to getup to get her attention. (At this time a young man was going around and filling everyone's water except ours). It was afrustrating experience, being ignored to that degree.
