The clear mushroom soup was good. The ginger salad I ordered was terrible as well. It's a local place for so wanted to give it shot. Will not be returning.
It 's been a few years since I 've been here, but I 'll have to say the experience was about the same a split decision. For a rainy Tuesday night, the place was not crowded, and the staff was attentive and pleasant. I placed a takeout order of 4 types of Sushi Roll, A penang curry noodle bowl, and seaweed salad. Spicy Tuna Roll was great in its simplicity. The California Roll with added cream cheese) was great as expected, and was the favorite of my family. The Rainbow Roll, was beautiful, and the salmon, tuna, and whitefish wrapped around the exterior of each roll was fresh and delicious. We tried the Dragon roll, which was deep fried and quite large. It was my first warm roll, and I truly enjoyed this combination. The seaweed salad with added Ponzu sauce) was amazing , although I 've had larger portions for the same price elsewhere. Why only 3 stars? I was craving a rich spicy /sweet Penang Curry. What I got was reminiscent of any American Chineese resturaunt chicken chow mein. No thick curry sauce, just a thin sauce under chunky vegtable and barely flavored thinly chunked chicken, all sitting atop perhaps a pound of overcooked lo mein noodles. It was so underwhelming, I was forced to write this review! The sushi was great, and I want to love this place more, but that 'curry ' was a joke. Three stars :
The emplyees here work so hard and are always so kind to me every time I go. The tempura udon is so good and they also have hibachi, sushi, and Thai noodle dishes. Everything is inexpensive and great portions. My go to lunch spot. It seems kind of sketchy how they can put such great prices on good quality food, but I've never gotten sick and I eat there a lot so I'll keep going lol
I visited wishing to find a new favorite place to enjoy some Pad Thai but I was not impressed at all. They gave a pretty big portion for the price I paid but I rather have quality over quantity. And unfortunately the quality of their Pad Thai wasn't tasteful or impressive. The thing that got my attention the quickest was how unfresh looking and tasting their beansprout's were. Their other food might be better but if you're someone looking forward for some tasty Pad Thai I don't recommend spending your money.
This place is a little gem in a seedy area. Their veggie sushi rolls are awesome!! Great service!!
