No reservations required, ski racks outside the front door on the first floor above the street opposite the Ciampanoi gondola station. My non-skiing partner arrived 45 minutes before the skiers and the waiter offered her a table at lunch time where she sat drinking a cup of tea. No pressure to move away so that others could eat. The goulash soup was meaty and tasty, otherwise it wouldn 't be goulash would it ? I had the papardelle (broad pasta) and deer stew which I found lacked character and the tiny bits of meat a little too chewy. Others had canederli mit speck in brodo (ham dumplings in soup). I 've always been a bit uncomfortable with the idea of dumplings but flavoured with Tyrolean ham it 's can be pretty tasty. The weissen (wheat) beer reminded me of Bavaria. The waiters are multi lingual and service oriented.
It’s nothing special but good honest food. A good choice of menu and was always our first port of call if we hadn’t booked anything. Felt this was one of the better experiences for customer service and after our first booking they remembered my name which I liked.
This Café Restaurant belongs to the Hotel Europa oposite the Ciampinoi Cablecab. Leaving the ski track you can enjoy the remaining afternoon sun on the balcony on the first floor. The staff is very attentive, quick and friendly. We had coffee, beer and cake and all of good quality.
The food was good and the people were nice, but the bartender was a horrible person. Every interaction he was either ignoring us, or just angry. It's a shame that he manages to ruin a perfectly fine lunch
Good decent Italian and Austrian style dishes. Very friendly staff with good service. Can recommend for a proper dinner.
