Both my partner and I had to spit them out and rinse our mouths to get rid of the taste, which lingered for around 10 minutes. The store manager did not take our complaint seriously, explaining that the unusual smell was due to the wings being stored next to onions. We were left questioning why chicken wings would be stored in such proximity to onions.
Just while I'm catching up on writing reviews for other places, i can't forget to write a review for this place to explain how useless they are. Back when covid started (March 2020 I believe i placed the order), I'd ordered a pizza with dips. After 2 hours, the pizza arrived stone cold with no dips, the driver was a bit aggressive and said it wasn't his fault, he will go back and get the dips but it may be another hour or so. I phoned the store and got through to someone who claimed to be a manager (laughable) I explained the situation saying it was unacceptable to have a stone cold pizza with only half the order delivered after waiting 2 hours. Obviously i was annoyed with this, but to make the situation worse, rather than trying to fix it he hung up the phone on me instead. I called back, even more angry, he agreed to send a replacement pizza. the replacement also took 2 hours, also was stone cold but at least i had the over priced dips. Subsequently I am no longer a customer of this place and never shall be again. Plenty more great places out there for a much cheaper price and way better service. thanks for doing me a favour, it's another venue that's literally lost thousands and thousands of pounds from me
This is my second time ordering from the Shrewsbury location and once again, my food arrived over half an hour late and lukewarm. It was not fresh at all, and I even had to put my pizza in the microwave. It's disappointing that the quality of the food was so poor. I frequently work in Shrewsbury and would never expect a Papa John's in Liverpool to deliver such subpar food and pass it off as quality. I will not be ordering from here again, I suggest saving your money or ordering from Domino's instead. I am giving it 2 stars only because the delivery driver was very friendly and had a smile.
I am shocked by my experience with this restaurant. I have ordered food from them several times for delivery, but recently I was unable to place an order online. When I tried to call, I was told they can't take orders over the phone either. This is despite the fact that I have had deliveries from them in the past. The person I spoke to on the phone was rude and eventually hung up on me. I am very frustrated and appalled by this level of customer service.
Ordered food,1st lot, 1061448938,was told delivery would be 21:15,now22:03 and still waiting,phoned shop,was told just got delivery but i put two orders in for same items and shop said,only just got order,i said thats the second order not the first,i ordered two by mistake,was then told,not my problem and he hung up on me.
