It’s not bad but…I was expecting more for the hype. The line is crazy and you are expecting to receive something really special. The savory pastries were the best in my opinion. The sweet ones tasted good but extremely and way too sweet. It would be better if they would reduce the sugar amount in their recipes for people to really differentiate the flavors cause when you have just one sweet pastry you taste just sugar. It was a bit grotesque.
It is always a delight to go there. Picked up a box before we started a road trip!
Good Coffee and pastries, also a nice place to go if you hate your unprofessional coworkers.
Challah was bland, not even a hint of sweetness. For about $17 with tax, I expected more. Their pastries are mostly hits though, especially the raspberry rugelach (which is gigantic and dense, in a way I like). The Stromboli is delicious too. The millionaire shortbread is a tad too sweet for me, I’ve had it at other places where the balance is just right. Needs more salt maybe.
