Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónHonestly, the best Thai food I've ever had (and I'm a big Thai fan)! We had two green curries and the Chon Tong Pad Thai. It is not on the main road where most of the other restaurants are, but easy to find. We will order DEFINITELY again from this place!
We used to live far away from this restaurant, so we didn't visit very often. However, during the lockdown, we decided to give it a try. The hot red curry with shrimp was delicious and surprisingly affordable. No need to say more - it was excellent!
I was in Chon Tong probably at least once a week for the last 6 months and it is my favorite restaurant. The menu has so much to choose, and everything was very good, I had a lot of items on the menu so far. The restaurant is quite small with about 9 tables, but often the small hole in the wall restaurants make the best food, and this is no exception. The two employees are very friendly, and the service is usually fast. The location is a little outside in the residential area of Sidney, but in summer on Thursday evening with the market, everyone clogs all restaurants in downtown but not Chon Tong, so you can always get a place. Very recommended
We have visited this restaurant multiple times and it is our favorite spot for Southeast Asian cuisine. The Thai food here is the best we have ever had. Our go-to dish is the house special pad thai, but we also enjoy trying out different appetizers and dishes during each visit. The food is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and is incredibly tasty. When we are in Sydney, we make it a point to dine here because it is one of the highlights of our trip.
Chon Tong isn’t a place to go for a white tablecloth experience with fancy people hoping to ‘be seen’. Go if you want great food, put together by lovely people. Although the decor is extremely straight forward with clean but unprepossing spaces to eat, the...food here is simply marvellous. Fresh ingredients, unbelievable combinations of Thai spices and herbs and imaginative dishes make an evening eating here well worth it. The wine list isn’t much; the beer selection is pedestrian; but the food is simply Fantastic. Don’t let the decor fool you. TRY IT!
