There was no sense of apology. We left because reservations do not work that way. There were another group of 4 who showed up after we waited for around 15-20 minutes, at this point. The waitress seated them first because They were on the reservation list before us, and she also stated not because they were also French . We didn 't even know that. Why even mention they are French. This isn 't how reservations work. Just because we had a similar exact reservation time, if we showed up before them, then the next reservation goes first. You don 't let customers that put in a reservation wait for 45 minutes without saying anything. You don 't let people that showed up late go in front of those who were already here. Anyways, pathetic management skill. Maybe the food is great, but I 'm not bothered to find out.
Excellent place for delicious French breakfast crepes/galettes and dessert crepes!!! Very charming cozy bistro. We enjoy coming here on weekends.
Yummy food, cute restaurant (perfect for date night or hanging out with friends! and friendly staff. All the cups and plates we had were disposable. So, not the most environmentally conscious.
Only have been here two times, each time being excellent! The ladies that run this little joint are so nice and attentive. The menu is pretty decent size for a smaller breakfast/lunch spot. The first time I went, I got the strawberry Nutella crape and it was super yummy and filling. The second time around I got the mozzarella panini and a peppermint mocha iced coffee. The inside seating was totally filled up but we got the whole outside patio to ourselves! It wasn't too hot because it's covered and there was a nice breeze. I definitely recommend trying it just once if you're in Simpsonville for breakfast.
Authentique French Creperie is located in Simpsonville, SC. It's been on my list of places to try for a while. I had the opportunity to try it with two of my family members. Authentique is only open Friday through Sunday. It is such a cute place. It's not very big, but would be ok for one to four people to dine. The inside is bright and cheerful with the table tops being an aqua/turquoise color. They have a nice selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch items. The lady's there are so nice, and I love their French accent. Today we came for a light dessert, I got the La Charlotte and my niece got the La Chocolat. The Charlotte is a crepe with sliced strawberries, powdered and crystal sugar and Chantilly cream. La Chocolat was a crepe with a chocolate drizzle, dusted in powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Let me tell you presentation is everything, and they do it well with those crepes. I really enjoyed my crepe, and plan on coming back to try lunch.
