Food was way too salty for my taste. Couldnt even finish.
I visited just as the shop opened and found that the food prep area was clean and being stocked. I was quickly greeted and informed that they were out of arugula and couscous. The greens that were out and available looked a little sad and wilted so Iskipped and opted for the grain and protein bowl with quinoa and paneer tikka. The grains and protein looked fresh and smelledgreat, but the portion felt lacking. Onto the spread, I chose the harissa hummus and the raita. The hummus has an unexpectedkick which is balanced great by the raita. For toppings, I opted for the sprouts which were fine and tomato cucumber salad whichtasted soggy and not fresh. I had the bowl dressed with some tamarind and mint chutneys. For my side, I had the garlic naan anda small mango lassi (with rose and cardamom). The naan was hot, fresh, and the best part of the meal. The lassi was your averagemango lassi, I wasn?t able to taste the rose or cardamom, but it was still yummy. I paid right under $20 for the whole meal, which I think is a little expensive for a casual lunch type place. I like the idea and execution of a Mediterranean/Indianplace, but was disappointed by some of individual items. I?d like to come back during a lunch/dinner rush to take advantage ofthe turnaround freshness of some of the toppings. -1 star for overall value for money, portion:price; wilted greens on serviceline and missing options -1 star for the subpar tomato and cucumber salad and mango lassi update 1/3/21: Went back for a secondtry and this was a much better experience. I think the best move is to visit post lunch hour as the food absolutely tasted a lotmore fresh and the portions were larger. Naan was phenomenal again. Up to 5 stars.
Overall Food was good, just some minor inconveniences The food in this restaurant was good, and the ambiance was great, you could sit outside or look at the bay from the seats. Just know that gratuity is included in your meal. The staff was a littleslow, and we asked for chopped onion at the table which is usually free but they charged us $2.50 for it. I understandeverything about the staff as they are short staffed right now. Also, the Butter Chicken was SWEET. They warned us and we gaveit a try, and it was very sweet. Other than that though, pretty good visit.
I visited just as the store opened and found that the food area was clean and storing. I was quickly welcomed and informed that they were from Arugula and Couscous. The greens that were outside and available looked a little sad and confused, so I skipped and decided for the grain and protein shell with quinoa and slice ktikka. The grains and the protein looked fresh and smelled good, but the part no longer felt. I decided to spread the Harissa Hummus and the Rita. The hummus has an unexpected kick balanced by the Rita. For toppings, I chose the spits that were fine and tomato cucumber salad that soggy tasted and not fresh. I had the bowl dressed with some tamarinds and mint cutneys. For my side I had the garlic naan and a small mango Lassi (with rose and cardamom). The Naan was hot, fresh and the best part of the meal. The Lassi was your average mango Lassi, I was unable to taste the rose or cardamom, but it was still delicious.
