At The West Vale Country House

Stayed here in June for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The country house is situated in a beautiful area with plenty of walks, restaurants and places for afternoon tea! Breakfast every morning was great with a wide range of choice and nothing too much trouble for Dee. Our deluxe room was also great, the decanter of whisky being a nice touch. Will definitely be staying here again!!

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at West Vale County House and have nothing but praise. The hosts, Glynn Dee are wonderful no request is too much trouble. Our room was excellent, clean and very very comfortable with wonderful views. The daily bottle of water and decanter of sherry was a nice touch indeed it is responsible for our now growing 'pre dinner ' habit! The breakfast is wonderful and caters for every taste it really sets you up for the day and we found that we didn 't want to eat again until mid to late afternoon. Hence we only went out to dine on one evening at The Cuckoo Brow Inn (2mins stroll from West Vale) and the other evenings we had one of Glynn 's Platters and Sandwiches the other evenings which were superb. Highly recommend you try them. All in all a truly relaxing stay and we will certainly be back.

Absolutely wonderful. I took my wife to West Vale as a surprise 60th birthday present and we could not have chosen a better place. Everything about the place was lovely. The house and rooms were immaculate and the atmosphere very friendly. Glynn and Dee were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them to help us with planning our days out. The location was picture perfect and was very restful. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get away from the cares of the world. Excellent.

Stayed here over Easter, really liked the place: great breakfast, nice quiet location, rooms are good and showers are excellent. Definitely recommended.

Amazing place, I highly recommend staying here, make sure you get up for breakfast!
