Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe visited for Sunday lunch. The pub is under new management. The 3 course meal is excellent value. The food we had was delicious. My only grumble is I am vegetarian, and didn’t fancy a pasta main dish on a Sunday Dinner. I chose 2 starters instead. Please consider a nut roast Sunday lunch
Our walking group of 16 people stayed at the Kings Arms for the weekend, with some of us accommodated in the hotel and some in the converted barn to the rear. Landlord and landlady Neil and Ann and all their staff were excellent throughout our stay. Rooms were fine, especially in the barn, food good and plentiful and service spot on. The bar had six different real ales on for thirsty types like us and the locals were very friendly. This was a proper pub that oozed character and individuality, a far cry from the blandness of the big chain hotels and pubs. Thank you Neil, Ann and staff for making our weekend so memorable.
We have been to the Kings Arms three times now, and we went there for Sunday lunch for the second time. The traditional roast options were great - you could choose from two meats, a lighter version of each, or a combination of two meats. We decided on roast beef and a lighter roast pork, each served with two fresh vegetables, roast potatoes, parsnips, a large Yorkshire pudding, and plenty of gravy. The meals were freshly prepared, hot, of excellent quality, and there was plenty to eat. We were too full to try any of the many desserts available.
The food was very good with plenty of choice. Ambient surroundings. Staff were very professional . It is in the centre of the village
Stayed here for a night a month ago. All good. Very friendly welcome. Really nice peaceful quiet room. Spotlessly clean. Great view from the window over to the Lakes hills. Really good breakfast. Good beer. All good. I'd go again.
