My visit to the restaurant was disappointing. I ordered lunch and a cake, but the lunch had a hair in it. I told the waitress about it, but she showed no interest. I ate what I could, paid, and left quickly. It was expensive for what I received, so I would not recommend it. The only positive aspect is that it is dog-friendly.
I booked a one-night stay at Monties. It was the perfect location for all our needs. The bed was the comfiest ever, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning (I had the vegetarian option, and my husband had the full English). Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. We will definitely book again.
Visited Monties earlier this year for breakfast and it was lovely but returned today and was disappointed my husband had Greek yogurt with a little fruit and an orange juice and I had toast with avocado and poached eggs and we had a tea and coffee nearly £27 bit steep for breakfast I think and I had to leave the toast because it was mushy will probably look elsewhere next time I’m afraid
I went into Monties for a Breakfast with my family. I found that the staff were very welcoming and the food was very nice. The only negative aspect of our visit was the fact that an obnoxious woman took upon herself to approach me and my family to complain about the sound on my 3 year old daughters phone being too loud whilst we were in the middle of eating our breakfast. I would like to stress that the woman was on the other side of the room and the people on the tables next to us had made no complaints as the volume was not very loud. Also none of the staff had approached us about this so I find it very cheeky that another customer in a smaller party paying less money than us had the cheek to disrupt us whilst we were eating. As a result of this we ending up switching my daughters phone off with the kids tv on which got her very upset as she had nothing to entertain with and one of us then had to take her outside so as a result of this our breakfast was spoilt. Our experience was further worsened when the window which was next to our table was opened by a member of staff as their were complaints that it was too warm inside which is obviously easy to say when your sat on the other side of the room where the obnoxious woman was sat.
