Mexicali Cantina Grill - South Windsor

A group of 4 of us visited for lunch on Saturday, May 4. We decided to celebrate Cinco de Mayo before the crowds. It was very quiet. We each ordered something different and everyone was happy with their choice. The reason why I rated the service so low is that the server rested a plate on the edge of the table near me and it looked like he was about to drop it, so I reached for it. He failed to inform me that the plate was HOT! It was straight from the oven and I got burned on two fingers. I spent the entire meal holding a glass of ice water with my right hand and attempting to eat with my left hand. I would go back because the food was good, but will also be aware of how hot the plates are. Also, when my water glass was empty, he took it away to refill. I am not thrilled when servers do that.
