A very old pub. fast quiet dug stop on the afternoon, so it was quiet. more efficient service and had some regular, which seemed very home and created a friendly atmosphere. many phone calls while we were there to book dinners, so sounds popular, but eating was not served at the time of our visit. toilets for the ladies were upstairs and the rickety old uneven stages give them the taste how old this place is or how cautious they have to drink with the amount they need!
Fun, history filled pub on the high street. typical pub fare. friendly staff and good beer/sales choice. the pub dates from the 11th century and had historical significance as an attempt to kill the conspirators, king henry w, took place here shortly before the fall from henry to angincourt.
This is our favorite, old fashion pub with great eating! the mixed Brat dinner black and bark is excellent, red hot and full taste, 10 out of 10 for eating and service.
Quick evening stop for tea. Friendly staff and clients. Dog friendly too. Good food portions
