Southwold is just a lovely quaint old unspoilt English town, has a great old pier and is a must for a stroll, nice little cafe and restaurant serving really good quality food Reasonably priced gift shops, water clock half way and hundreds of personalised placks all along the handrails with interesting messages Great place to visit all year round
One of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. Very friendly staff, second round of teas and coffees without even asking.
We never get tired of Southwold especially the pier. Love it reading all the little plaques some sad some happy, the lovely shops, restaurant, coffee shop and the old fashioned amusements love it all. There was even a Punch and Judy show at the front of the pier, great day.
Went to the Pier today with the kids. They have a Pirate themed Treasure Hunt and some of the staff dressed as Pirates. The kids loved it! Got a free pirate flag when they finished it. Will deffo go back and do it again. It's on all month, apparently. Nice touch.
