The portion sizes are unreasonably small for the price (I understand costs are increasing, but still). The toppings were not fresh and the marshmallows were hard. Unfortunately, we will have to find a new place for ice cream. I paid $9.02 for a medium cup of Rocky Road, which I'm almost certain used to be a small size.
I visited Marble Slab on 170th Street on December 20th around 7:30pm and received wonderful and excellent customer service from a friendly young man named Mario! I will definitely be coming back!
We stopped at this restaurant in the middle of the afternoon and encountered only one (very polite) employee who had not yet been trained. She informed us that the manager had stepped out and would return in 5 minutes, so she asked us to wait before placing our order. After waiting 15 minutes and seeing the employee attempting to contact the manager, we were finally able to place our order when the manager returned. However, the manager did not listen to our order and combined two orders in one cup. Although this mistake was fixed, we were disappointed to witness the manager yelling at the employee for not listening, even though the employee was not at fault. This behavior was extremely unprofessional, and we have no plans to return to this establishment.
Ice cream was good but the young girl who works there has bad customer service. It's supposed to be an interactive experience but definitely wasn't. When I asked a question, she squinted her eyes like I should already know what I was asking. Not friendly at all, and seemed annoyed to even be there. Most likely never coming to this location again. I also see from other reviews that she has been a problem before. Management, do better, please.
Always great service and the ice cream cakes are amazing!
