5 stars because the food is like stepping back in time, really good and old fashion home made flavor. (Little dirty because of age) Depending on who is your waiter as to how good the service is gonna be but the food makes up for everything.
The pancakes for breakfast are delicious and fluffy. The sausage patties are tender and flavorful. My only issue was with the front cashier, whose name on the receipt was listed as GOOD, as she did not acknowledge my payment or thank me for my business. After taking my money, she simply walked off towards the kitchen without saying anything.
Great old time diner feel, friendly service and food was excellent. They cooked everything exactly how I asked, I will go again as I will be traveling to the area on a regular basis going forward Cathy was a great server.
I am a very senior citizen and have never had as rude a wait staff as I had this morning. Two of the waitstaff apparently knew incoming customers at their table. We were 2 tables away and the greeting which went on for quite a few minutes was so loud my friend and I could not talk to each other. When one of the waitresses went by I mentioned that it was a bit loud. She took offense and it went down hill from there. The other waitress came over and asked with everything was OK.(and with some attitude) We said no it wasn't at which point she lectured us about this being a restaurant and not a church. Where was the courtesy for the other diners. When we left, I told the girl at the check out that it had been a most unpleasant experience. She was very sullen and said we shouldn't tell people to shut up. What? We just wanted them to tone it down a bit. This was our first and last time at this restaurant.
