Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónFantastic artifacts and history on the walls to consider but eating was terrible. ordered a ribeye to cook medium size, got a good-done piece bland leather in the suit. the ordered bourbon chicken wings and the sauce was good, but meat terrible. has not finished any appetizer or main course. the price was very high for the portion and quality, very disappointing experience.
My wife and I really enjoyed this place. The Globe and Laurel has a very unique feel and atmosphere to it. As a Marine, it is awesome to see all of the Marine Corps decor displayed throughout the entire restaurant. The owner is very hands on and involved with operations amd desires to ensure the best service is given. He will handle any problems that come up, regardless of how large or small they are. The wait staff is very kind and helpful when serving the guests. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, chill, and relaxing place to grab a bite to eat.P.S. If you are a Marine or know a Marine that lives out here or is visiting, you need to add this place as a place to stop by and grab something to eat.
The Globe and Laurel is an historic landmark in Stafford. It started out in downtown Quantico in the 1970's, then moved to Triangle after a fire destroyed the original site. It finally moved to the current location several years ago. Major and Mrs Rick Spooner truly made it into a wonderful restaurant and historic tribute to the Marine Corps. The Globe and Laurel survived a rocky transition after The Major retired, but is now open under a new owner and management which show great promise of a smashing revival! We arranged for a group of 30 to meet for dinner there last week. Everyone had a wonderful time, thanks to the very welcoming staff. Although the staff was a bit short handed, they made sure our group was well served with good food and wonderful ambiance. Marines attending our affair included one WW II vet, several Vietnam vets along with wives family and friends, one Navy Corpsman as well as a couple of Basic School Lieutenants. What a great place for such a group to gather! We highly recommend giving The Globe and Laurel a try. My husband and I are going back for lunch this week. The food was good!
What a great place great staff, good food, and a wonderful tribute to our military and law enforcement heroes! A definite repeat place!
Highly recommend! Joy was one of the most personable and helpful bartenders I have ever encountered. I was not a regular , traveling for a new job and away from my husband and son for the first time in many years, but she treated me as if I were. I found this unique restaurant and lounge on Google. Though they didn 't have the fish and grits I originally saw in a review, Joy recommended I try their Catfish and even substituted the fries for cole slaw at my request... It was amazing. I quickly felt comfortable dining alone, had a wonderful meal and some great conversations. Looking forward to coming back in a few months. This will definitely be my go to place in the future!
