Sally's Southern - Staten Island

Tonight, I ordered takeout from Sally's Southern after hearing great things about the restaurant, and it certainly lived up to the hype. I usually take better photos of my food, but the aroma was so irresistible that I dove right in. If you go, you absolutely must try the fried chicken with honey—thank me later! The empanadas and cornbread were also fantastic. I wish I had ordered more so I could try even more of the menu. It was a 15-minute drive home, but everything arrived still piping hot. I plan to come back and enjoy a meal inside the restaurant soon, and I’ll update this review then!

I initially rated this place 4 stars, holding back a star until our second visit. After going back recently, I'm happy to upgrade it to 5 stars! During this visit, we tried the Fried Chicken, Steak, and Chicken Pot Pie, and everything was fantastic. The fried chicken was particularly outstanding! If you haven't been here yet, make sure to check it out – you won't regret it.

I visited the restaurant for lunch today, and I have to say it’s a fantastic addition to the area. The staff were all incredibly friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. Their cocktail and liquor menu is impressive—one of the best I’ve seen. The fried dishes were perfectly light and not overly breaded. I was also really impressed by the creativity of the dessert menu. Oh, and I enjoyed some sweet tea as well!

This restaurant has been on my list for so long and finally got the chance to try. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted and sat at the bar. Rob was my bartender and he was great. I also spoke to Joan one of the workers and she was awesome too. I started with the pinot nior and it was tasty. For my meal I got the chicken and biscuit sandwich and that was sooooo good. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and the biscuit was soft and succulent. They treated me well and I enjoyed my meal!

Food was delicious, drinks were Amazing. My wife had the Magnolia Margareta and I had the PB J Old Fashioned. Chicken Skin and Cornbread for our Apps, skins were crispy and delicious, cornbread was CRACK! My wife had Fried Chicken with Mashed and ordered Collard Greens and I had the Baby Back Ribs with waffle fries and I had to order the Mac Cheese( 1 of the best I have ever had). Service was great and we will most definitely be returning
