There are a number of places in Stuttgart that are slightly cheaper but the Mulan Garden (it is NOT spelled Mulin! is the best value with great food and sizable portions. One can get a single plate or all you can eat from the buffet or order from the extensive menu. I have to admit that the buffet selection is not so big and the price has gone up a bit in recent years, so I usually order from the menu, most dishes being around 6 to 7 Euros. The decor is modern with great photos on the wall rather than the typical cliché of red lanterns and a fish tank. They also have a quiet outdoor terrace which is open during good weather. One also notices that Chinese travelers and residents also eat here so it is definitely authentic. There is also a Mulan Restaurant in the Kronenstr., a couple minutes’ walk from the main train station. Same owner but not as quite as nice and it closes earlier. I don't eat meat and have to admit that the vegetarian choices are not extensive especially at the buffet but the ones they have are good and they also have fish and seafood. The spice squid with Thai basil is my favorite dish here and I eat here at least once or twice a month. One can get all food to go, either from the menu or buffet but they do not deliver as far as I know.
Maybe outdated reviews? The last time I was there, the food was very good. Not too oily and too many onions I have not seen. The beef was incredibly tender and good and in general the Chinese dishes were very tasty and pleasant. Try it yourself before you read the old reviews. Just go back.
We have ordered a good selection of dough bags to take away. Everything was great. All again
Hard to find, but super quality and super prices. The operators are very nice. You can eat in a large courtyard that is very quiet.
Was still too late there and were very friendly received. The selection from the menu and food was great. There are also the best sesame balls!
