Mellow Mushroom St. Louis

Ordered a large pizza online and was given a pickup time of 8:50pm. I arrived at 8:55 and parked in one of the curbside pickup spots and texted my name and spot# to the phone number on the sign. No response. I figured they must be busy or overwhelmed so I waited a bit longer—maybe 10-15 minutes—and then texted the number again. And again, no response. Finally at about 9:25 I got out of my car, went inside to ask about the delay and found out my pizza was sitting there on top of the oven. Obviously no one had been monitoring the text line at all. Employee handed me the pizza after I gave her my name and I could feel that the box was not hot. I asked how long it had been sitting up there and she said “it just came out of the oven” (obviously b.s. . I took my cold pizza home because by this point I was pretty hungry and tired of being there waiting and dealing with incompetence. Here’s the thing: This restaurant is usually very busy and it’s obviously very successful. If you’re not going to utilize the curbside pickup service then hire someone to remove the signs! The fact that no one there bothered to monitor their text number that’s plastered all over the parking lot is beyond ridiculous and whomever was the manager on duty last night should be fired.

They have great pizzas. It is a fun place to go with your family or friends. It has a great atmosphere and is perfect for a family or a night out for drinks.

I had been sat with a group of around 12 people. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was pretty good. Service was top tier.

Pizza is great as usual. Servace at the bar was slow.

Got to restaurant a little after 7. Very few people in restaurant and had to wait at front for about 5 minutes. Upon host coming over seemed very uninterested and put out as didn’t really say a word. Server seemed more concern about counting her tips and cleaning tables rather than attending to customers. Given salad with no utensils. Given food with no napkins. Not very attentive to our needs. Virtually everything was fine with the exception for the freezer burned tater tots. Took a bit of time being there is virtually no one in restaurant. Normally would recommend, but tonight just wasn’t there night. Will reconsider before spending that type of money for a subpar experience.
