Osteria La Vecchia Fontana - SUPERSANO

A hidden gem which you must visit while being in Supersano, amazing staff, unbelievable rooftop terrace and lovely local food. We arrived late but that did Not matter and they welcomed us enthusiastically! The quality and quantity you get for the price is also great.

Great restaurant and typical place where you will taste the traditional flavors of the region. The food is amazing, the portions are Very very generous and the service is excellent. Everyone is very friendly and you can feel that they love their region and local products. And cherry on the cake, the prices are also very local : Definitely recommended for a traditional and cool dinner with friends and family.

We have dined here twice, once for lunch and the second time on a Saturday evening. It is a small family owned osteria attractively presented, with simple table settings. The first time we tried the home made pasta and chickpea dish, grilled sausages accompanied by the local chicory greens, and then we shared a re-styled crema catalana. All very good, including the bread (which often in Italy is plain white refined bread). At dinner we ate one portion of linquine with sea urchin puree, a wood fired pizza and shared a warm chocolate souffle. The drinks list offers house wines and beer on tap as well. Our food for dinner was also enjoyable and well cooked. The owners were very welcoming and happy to see us again, and the cost is reasonable especially considering the quality and presentation. There is enough free parking in the front or nearby.
