Depending on the day, the ice is made either with a cocos, mandel or soy base. they would think with owners who are vegan (some of them), they would not be so much for not milk. two people before me got two medium-sized tassen milcheis for $8. my single cup pre-package, a size not milcheis was $8.50 for the cup. $17 for my mother and I. Super great experience! the man taking orders was very friendly, and was super excited about the vegan options. though the vegan ice cream only came in one size, for about $8. but there were a ton of baked goods too. i got vanilla chocolate drizzle which was really good, though definitely coconutty. happy to see so many options!
This places vegan ice cream is to die for. It’s a little pricey, I think like $7 for what looks like one scoop, but that’s honestly in line with most island prices. It’s in its own separate freezer in the store, and the owners wife makes it fresh every day. I love the cookies and cream and the strawberry cheesecake. They use soy, coconut or almond milk or any mixture of the three to make the ice cream. Love. Love. LOVE.
I’ve tried the chocolate chocolate chip, vanilla chocolate chip, coffee chocolate chip and chocolate peanut butter. They are all delicious.
