Desi Bites Restaurants Dine In Takeout Juice Bar

Chicken tikka, butter chicken and fish pakoras are so good and excellent portions. The flavors are amazing. I always go here just for these three things.

I ordered daal makhni, was too watery and cold. Dont recommend this store...

Bad quality of food. The food was not cooked as per instructions and their Desi Bites Special Raita was awful.

A lot of these places including this one have premade items, almost all of their items are premade, they are pre-spiced and unfortunately only tuned to the pallets of very spicy liking people. Its not even made for all East Indian people, only for specifically spicy liking people and unfortunately I have lived in Surrey for the past three years and we have tried almost every place that has Indian food, they all have premade things that are all spicy. Even if they were to test their own food, they are under the misunderstanding that this is how East Indian food should be. Food should not be this spicy especially East Indian food it should be flavourful but these restaurants just throw tons of heat in, and/or tons of salt. And unfortunately DoorDash does not cover the expenses of an item that is too spicy, which happens almost all the time we order. We Love spending money on food you dont get to enjoy eating!! I wish it said "for spicy lovers only" on all the surrey Indian places. They have no regard for any other ethnicities tolerance for spice. Just a blatant disregard. Even if they ask you to select the hotness they just water down the curry or add sugar heavily(both scenarios which have happened on multiple occasions within the past 3 years WITH this restaurant as well as many others in surrey). Btw I am Hispanic and we love our spicy food too, my husband is East Indian as well so its not like we are sensitive or anything. Trust me please. Best thing you can do for yourself is to call the restaurant everytime about every single item you order from WHICHEVER RESTAURANT IN SURREY, and remind them to adjust the spice level for you.it doesnt work most of the time but once in a while youll find a place who cares. My stomach is on fire right now..... I just dont want anyone else to waste hard earned money on food that isnt made with sincerity for the customer. P.S. I didnt bother mentioning what items because it happens across the board doesnt matter what you order.
