The underrated space in sydney. Amazing value tasting and fantastic locally produced beautifully with French inspired technology. the duck is particularly divine. more people should know about bischof sessa.
We stumbled upon this restaurant as we were staying on Crown Street for work. It was packed downstairs but they had one last table for three, it was serendipitous. The waitress explained that the normal 3-course meal was less than normal tonight for some reason (a particular weeknight?), which was much appreciated. I had the pea hen-gg which was a 63.C egg with the most incredible pea sauce and cubes of potato(?) and some green leaves (rocket?) the combination of flavours were amazing. I had the Duck breast for main which was small and perfectly cooked with a beautiful jus. I didn't like the mandarin sauce but it was kind of on the side so I could leave it.The banana and nutmeg tarte tartin with ice cream was a delight.I still can't believe what a good find Bishop Sessa was. The service was warm, informed and not overbearing. The wine list was amazing, we had two bottles of Pinot Noir from memory.I'll definitely be back to Bishop Sessa
Wonderful food. Enough said. Apparently I have to write another 50 unnecessary words. If your Al Qaida taxi driver can find it, this restaurant is gold.
One of the best restaurants I have eaten at and I travel the world eating in some of the best restaurants world wide - recommended highly and now one that we visit regularly...in fact, I am heading there this evening.
