I've been there a couple times. I enjoy the appetizer soup and the spring rolls. Actually the spring rolls are to die for. I really liked a couple of their entrees and was unimpressed with a couple, unfortunately as I can't pronounce anything on the menu I don't remember each dish I've tried. In the summer they have a booth at the farmers market, their bbq combo is amazing!
The reviews here have clearly been written by people that know absolutely nothing about Sushi. Let me tell you about the pound of cold unseasoned rice I paid for. Calling it Nigiri would be too kind. The rice was ice COLD. There was no seasoning in it. The slices of fish were so thin you could fly them in A strong breeze and they were terribly mangled. Rice and avocado Roll (apparently there was salmon in there but who could tell? similar. 22 dollars for rice and about 2 dollars worth of fish, if I'm being Generous. All I could taste was the awfuI, cold, bland rice. A la carte pricing for something literally equivalent to a bad AYCE experience. I really wanted to like this place. I gave them a handsome tip and I deeply regret it. Clearly the owners here don't actually respect the local populace If they're willing to take their money in exchange for this garbage.
This restaurant is a great spot for Japanese cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a fantastic Japanese restaurant in a small town.
I absolutely love the food at this restaurant, especially the chicken katsu - it's my favorite place to eat in Sussex.
