Lucky Penny Cafe - Tacoma

Really enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches and coffee here at this locally owned cafe! The service was excellent and fast. It was fun to sit for a while in this historic building (there are a few tables but no public restrooms).

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Tacoma! If you’re looking for a great breakfast or lunch, this is it. It’s located downtown on the corner of 11th and Pacific. The menu has a lot of options; everything from coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, and even some delicious traditional Korean dishes. I recommend trying the bibimbap–it’s AMAZING! The service is great, too. Penny is so sweet, and always remembers my order. The atmosphere is very welcoming. There’s plenty of seating if you’re dining in, but you can also order your food to-go. I’ve never had to wait long for my food and it’s less expensive than other places in the area. If you work or live in the area, you should definitely visit Lucky Penny Cafe!

Love this place! I used to live and work on Pac Ave and would get a bi bim bap once a week from Penny. I moved and changed jobs so I haven’t been here in a while. Found myself in the area and am so pleased that Lucky Penny is still up and running! Vegetarian options: Bi bim bap with just egg

Such a cute place! We ordered some food and it was delicious. Service was great. The building has a few tables and chairs inside, so we sat there and the food was brought to us.

Mrs. Penny is a wonderful lady. Treat her with respect and you'll be treated in kind. If she gives you a suggestion, take it and eat it with Gusto! She has never steered me wrong.
