I don't usually go to this area, so I looked up a restaurant using Google Maps. I found "Rairaiken" and decided to try it because there were some good reviews. The parking lot was full, indicating that it is a popular local restaurant. I tried the large portion of ramen. Even the large portion was priced in the 600 yen range, which is cheap. It had a sweet and strong soy sauce flavor, similar to the taste of simmered pork. It was a simple flavor, but it felt like it could become addictive.
The miso double chashu ramen was delicious! The miso seemed a bit richer than before, and the chahan (fried rice) was also tasty.
The large-sized miso double chashu ramen costs 850 yen including tax. It has a traditional taste with plenty of thin chashu slices that wrap around the noodles each time you take a bite. I was dining alone, so I sat at the counter to place my order. After a while, the staff suggested I move to a vacant table since I had some belongings with me. It was a nice gesture, so I accepted and moved. The service was polite and welcoming. The restaurant has a nostalgic feel like a neighborhood ramen shop, but it is well-maintained and clean. There is parking available in front of the restaurant.
