Bonefish Grill - Tampa

While my mahi and shrimp with chimichurri is always delicious, my husband's pasta had some mussels that were really bad. We also never received our appetizer and the Caesar had WAY too much dressing. Had to wait for tea refills way too long, and there was only one hostess for seating. I felt bad for her.

We visit often. Kitchen was off last night. I tried the Butterfish and the waitress described it as a light whitefish. It was white, but way too fishy. My husband sent the Mahi back as well since it was overcooked and dry. Told the waitess I had a Gluten allergy up front. We ordered off of the specials menu, so there were no descriptions. When we ordered the garlic herb potatoes, she failed to mention they weren't gluten free until they came to the table and I questioned them. The green beans were so bad. They tasted undercooked and reheated. The brownie was good, but hot in the center and cold on the outer perimeter. Like they used a microwave to heat it, but didn't heat it enough. Just an overall waste of money last night.

Bonefish is always a nice place to be pampered. This location on N Dale Mabry near Carrollwood has a most beautiful interior with large windows, soft lighting and multiple seating options. I'm so glad they are open for lunch. Bang Bang Shrimp still satisfies.

Was the busiest Saturday night we've ever experienced so service was very slow. It was half off appetizer day which might have explained it. However the food didn't disappoint and everyone enjoyed the appetizers and entrees. We'll be back on a less busy night.
