I’d easily give this place five stars and can’t wait to return. I’ve uploaded a photo from my visit last week!
Great selection of Central American groceries and attentive staff.
I take pride in supporting local businesses and Mi Gente, but I have to share my disappointment: 1) I ordered the $13 Yuca con chicharrón, and it was just a dry, flavorless paste. 2) Be cautious—prices aren't displayed, so they charge you randomly. 3) I spoke with the owner, and their response was simply, "That's how we make it." There was no effort to improve the situation. Overall, I'm really disappointed; I expected a lot more from this place.
The service was rude, and the prices were outrageous. I nearly paid $22 for a basic breakfast that consisted of just beans, eggs, sour cream, and a tortilla. They are definitely exploiting their customers with these prices. The food lacked flavor, and the portion sizes were quite small. The interior is uncomfortable and outdated, and the air conditioning was not working properly.
Without a doubt, these are the best pupusas I've had in Florida. The prices are also surprisingly reasonable compared to other places. I highly recommend it!
