Beyond your standard criteria, the food is good, the ambience right, prices reasonable that Chez happens with ease, this place shows something special. The server, Rhonda, remembered my family, our orders and our nutritional restrictions. The chef came to our table, greeted us, asked us if we enjoyed our experience and made sure that we meet our nutritional needs. Homemade food all the way to dinner and a staff that cares. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
Great atmosphere, excellent service, decent wines, excellent desserts, needs a few more French articles on the menu. We'll be back again and again. And every time propose French articles. If that is, we can catch the place open. The times listed on the menu or door show hours that do not correspond remotely when they actually serve. A little try your luck to this aspect anyway.
We've dined here. We had Roast Duck (not orange with pepper sauce) and Steak Diane. Both were great. The owner must spread the word on social media. Nobody knows about this place hidden in the old Sears Mall.
Once inside, but you immediately know that in a French restaurant with pictures of the Paris skyline you complete with Eiffel Tower, which decorates the walls. The interior may have said French, but the menu told me it was Titusville French. What I mean by this is that the choices for fine food are strongly limited in this neck of the forest, Chez Maxime 's menu reflects the preferences of local Gourmands. The menu consisted of French, Greek and Italian inspired food, ranging from Escargot Provencal to Hummus, it was multidisciplinary to say the least. My server for the meal was Kate. I knew that without asking how most professional servers, Kate presented herself on greeting, put our free basket of warm bread down and went over the menu including the specialties of the day. Kate was attentive to detail and their customers without sacrificing their charm and is now on the BBDO short list of the best servers in Brevard. Kudos, Kate! I asked Kate about an order of Escargot a la Provencal, Boeuf Bourguignon and a Poulet Crepe. When Kate rushed to place our order, my thoughts returned to the gourmet scene in Titusville. What scene do you ask? I know it's difficult to be a gastronomy in this part of the Space Coast, but if the food and menu tasted read, this place can only be the beginning of something big for the area. Absently, I took a few bread, hit some butter on it and hit it in my mouth. Like a cook down in Vero Beach once told me the bread is the first contact with the customer and should set the standard for the meal. Beginning with the snails, were in a brackish Hollandaise sauce and looked disgusting, that was a good thing because, after just one taste I could not stop eating them. They were amazingly burst with taste on the palate and a great start to the meal. Cooked with fresh Provencal butter, which had to be made on site, along with the made to order Hollandaise sauce, this was a real pleasure to dedicate and to dedicate I did! Unfortunately, the crostini that came on the side was a tad overcooked for my pleasure and forbidden to suck up the whole sauce in which the Escargot so lovingly rests. Next on the BBDO was the order of Boeuf (Beef Bourguignon. This is basically beef, which is absorbed in the French way. It is traditionally made with burgundy wine, so the name refers to wine in this case and not the region itself (in contrast to wine). While I didn't think the beef used in this dish was USDA Prime, but Choice, it was still excellent. It must be the sauce! Again prove that the Big Boy and my reading publicity that in the hands of a master, even can ingredients can be delicious, the cook took canned mushrooms and added them to a made in house Burgundy sauce that had to begin with homemade beef as it was from this world. The side salad was deceived, however, to be offered in Titusville, and as such consisted of the local favorite iceberg salad sauce with some crushed carrots sat on top and a few tomato wedges on the side along with a tiny smoke of bottle vinaigrette (with two choices of dressings I found this hard to limit. The last sample was the order of Poulet (Chicken Crepe. Since these looked amazing and decidedly flat on the palate, I thought the crepe was overcooked and the ingredients as a whole were of average quality. Again, and please do not take this the wrong way, but Titusville is not known for it's excellent skin cuisine scene and Chez Maxime has a long way to educate their clientele, so I understand the state of the crepe and can only think that as the public comes, the food quality will improve. The sides of the potato wedge and the fresh peas were disgusting and certainly added to the saving grace of the Poulet Crepe as a court. The Big Boy says when in Titusville and in the mood lifted for something, but not yet pretentious, check out Chez Maxime and bon appetit!
Unexpected great experience. Didn't expect such great food and service. Looking forward to going back. Had the steak Diane which was great, next time will try the duck.
