This restaurant offers very affordable prices. I especially enjoy their delicious desserts and bread. While the food may not always be the healthiest option, I highly recommend trying the spring rolls for only $1 Canadian dollar, they are delicious. Additionally, the egg cake is also worth trying.
After exploring Kensington Market and enjoying a cup of Joe from Jimmy's Coffee, I was in need of a snack. This Chinese bakery had a great selection of pineapple buns, egg tarts, cakes, and breads all in one place. We tried their custard pineapple bun and BBQ pork bun, both of which were delicious and full of flavor. Unlike some places that skimp on the filling, these buns were well-made and satisfying. I was pleased to find that they were not filled with air like some other places.
The almond cookies here are delicious. Apparently Susur Lee likes them too. If they are good enough for Susur they must be pretty special. The place is clean and the prices are low. Coconut buns are another favourite.
Besides the usual sweet baked goods, there are a variety of savory baked goods as well, in case you don't want your lunch to be nothing but egg tarts and pineapple buns!
