As an old school guy, I like wood paneled bars that have character. This is one of those. The staff is great as are the drinks. A shout-out to Michael whose service to our group was impressive.

Not only did they not even blink when we asked if we could split our entrees and share with eachother but they served them up in separate bowls and dishes just like it was all planned that way! Afternoon Tea includes a complimentary visit to the rooftop bee garden. Only one of us could go because the trip requires climbing 4 stories to the roof.

A colleague and I dropped in for a late lunch before going into a meeting. Tara took great care of us. It was only her second day working there but her experiences elsewhere prepared her for the task. Service was prompt and continuous without hovering. The food was delicious. I had the roast beef sandwich (au jus for dipping) with a Caesar salad and my colleague had the cream of cauliflower soup. The sandwich was as tender as you could want it and full of flavour. The salad was true and you could taste the hint of anchovy, just as you should. I'm told the soup was divine, hot and plentiful. I would price it on the low end of fine dining or the higher end of mid-range.

Comfortable. Excellent selection of single malts and other beverages. Good food menu, enjoyed a well-prepared sandwich and salad.
