Contribuir a la retroalimentación**Price and Portion: 4.5/5** The udon carbonara is priced at around $17, which is quite reasonable. However, I did find the portion size to be a bit small, and it left me wanting more. **Taste of the Food: 5/5** The udon carbonara at Ojiya is truly exceptional. The sauce strikes a perfect balance of savory and light, while the udon noodles are cooked to absolute perfection. The mushrooms contribute a delightful texture, and the pork belly is rich and flavorful. It's a standout dish that elevates the carbonara experience beyond nearly all the traditional pasta dishes I've tried. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious and unique take on carbonara!
This cozy izakaya offers genuine Japanese small plates. We tried the rainbow roll, toro sushi, hamachi collar, and omurice. The rainbow roll was quite enjoyable, and the fish was fresh. However, the toro sushi didn't quite meet my expectations for premium quality, though it was still good. A bit concerning was the service; the servers had difficulty distinguishing between toro sushi and their beef sushi. They initially served us the beef sushi, and when we pointed out the mistake, it took two servers closely examining the dish to confirm it was indeed beef. The omurice was satisfactory, but we would have preferred the egg to be much runnier.
The food is excellent for the price, and I’m very pleased with the service. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.
I wish Yelp allowed half-star ratings because a 4.5 would be spot on for this place. I can’t quite give it a full 5, but it’s definitely very good. The clearest sign of its quality? Most of the diners were speaking Japanese, enjoying drinks, and having a fantastic time. The Udon Carbonara was outstanding, and the Tonkotsu Ramen was also quite tasty, featuring a flavorful broth, quality pork, and slightly unusual noodles. I also tried a few pieces of nigiri that were excellent; however, it seemed that most diners weren’t ordering sushi, suggesting this is more of an Izakaya-style restaurant. You won’t regret dining here – I highly recommend it!
If you're looking for an authentic Japanese place. Come to Ojiya! It's your typical hole in the wall , small, Japanese restaurant but everyone here is so nice and prepare the food well. When you come it's like you're in Japan. This is time to practice your Japanese with the waitresses like I did! I love sushi and Japanese food. I usually get Omrice (if they have it) and a sushi roll when I check out any Japanese restaurants. Ojiya stuck out to me. The spicy salmon roll was good and filling! There's no stinginess with the salmon. The sushi was built perfectly and didn't fall apart. Its better compared to other Sushi restaurants I've been too. The omrice portions were huge and delicious! I couldn't finish mine and took it to go. It's a bit pricey but I think it's so worth it. I recommend this place out if you like Japanese food. We came in the evening and it wasn't too packed and we didn't have to wait that long for our food. I know during lunch hours it's busy. This is a good place for dinner. Check it out!
