Coco's Sunset Grille - Tybee Island

Waited over an hour for our food. Tasted like everything was dredged in salt. My fried shrimp came out cold. They ran out of fries and in stead of asking us if we wanted a different side they just gave us extra hush puppies which were so salty they were inedible. I would have ordered something else but we didn’t want to wait another hour. We literally saw 2 tables get up and leave when they got their food because of how gross it was. Paid $100 for lunch for 4 adults and 1 kids meal. Not worth it at all.

Three of us ate here on a Wednesday evening and had a wonderful time. Staff was friendly and three different seafood meals were great. We are aware of the problems many restaurants are having because of a general inability to hire staff. We assume that waits might be longer than normal and go prepared. We would recommend this little gem to anyone visiting Tybee Island. And ask the owner about the green tee shirts with the bow and arrow.

We arrived at CoCO's for Lupper (between Lunch and Supper) at around 4:00 PM. When we arrived the young man who greeted us indicated that there was a 20 minute wait, even though there were no customers in the front dining area, and about half full in the bar dining area. We decided to wait, and he then seated us immediately. Not sure what caused that miscommunication? Our server was busy with several tables, but she was attentive to us. However, they were out of the first two entree items we attempted to order (shrimp and chicken piccata), so we had to adjust to grilled flounder and jerk chicken. The quality of these entrees was decent, but the quantity of the grouper was quite tiny for the price paid. When we left at about 4:50 PM, a sign was placed outside (that wasn't there when we arrived), stating that they were closing at 5:00 PM. I guess they just ran out of food!!?? Also, bring your own straws. They don't have straws there for your drinks.

This use to be a great spot! Server didn’t know a damn thing about what was going on they offered peel and eat shrimp that were already pre peeled??We left this place needs a complete overhaul!!
