I have visited this restaurant after a gap of 14 years.In past it was known to be an iconic restaurant of Udaipur for Veg Thali located at Vintage car museum. Today I have taken my family for lunch. While each thali is moderately priced at ₹ 250, the menu variety and food quality has declined significantly. Starter was Moongdal pakodas with mint chutney which is crispy and tasty. In the main course we had Bati served with coarse dal which is tasteless. Curry items like Rajma, Paneer and Lauki were made with a strong hint of dahi based gravy which somehow does not impart the taste of the main ingredient at all. To start with, like every traveller, trying rajasthani thali was a must do thing' in my bucket list.. This was when i was told about the garden thali restaurant by some locals. It shares a common entry with the vintage car museum.. Definitely an ideal place to eat for those who are planning to visit the museum. Really good authentic Rajasthani Thali. Not a must visit but you can have a meal if you have the time and are within the city. It felt good eating some authentic cuisine.
