Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe are family on vacation and visiting from the UK (2 adults and a teenager) and were made to feel very welcome by the management and staff. We were all astonished by the large selection of food available and tried various dishes we would not have normally ordered. We were impressed by the quality of the food on offer which appeared to have been freshly prepared.
I thought it was going to be a good dining experience as I had gone to this restaurant when they had a location on Dufferin and Steeles a few years ago. Boy was I disappointed with the food. I got there just after opening time at lunch, which I thought was good timing as I figured the food would be fresh and hot. Unfortunately, that was not the case. It was obvious to me that the little amount of food in each of the warming trays was from the day before and all dried up. The only thing that looked fresh was the fried calamari and the Mussels and sauce so I took some, only to find out that the tomato sauce was bubbling hot but the mussels were stone cold inside. This place had the worst selection of food, salads, and desserts ever. The shrimp on the salad bar looked like it had been there for days, they could have at least rinsed them under cold water so they appeared fresh. To find something to eat was a challenge, but I soldiered on which was a big mistake as the food didn't agree with me and I was in the bathroom for quite some time afterward. This restaurant is a definite MISS for me and I would not recommend it. The only reason why I gave it one rating was that the waitress was very friendly and provided good service.
I went for a big group gathering for my friends confirmation. I arrived at 12 (opening time) yet still no one was at the podium ready to seat you or even great you. We had to wait for about 20 minutes until they were really ready with the food and to let you in. We sat in a dinning area with two large tables in rows. We got up to get our food and right away I started to find something I wanted to eat. They had a good selection of all sorts of Italian food all with sections of their own. The inside was nice and very warm and welcoming. My plan for the meal was to try some of everything and everything I had was good. The wait staff were quick and friendly enough. Over all i had a good time and I think I would go back sometime in the future.
Local low cost, but with a good food choice, you pay directly at the entrance drinks excluded, and then with a tray steps from the stations, meat area (oven pole, sprinkles etc) fried area (calamari, shrimp, vegetables, oranges etc) paste area (both cold and hot) all in the appropriate warm nursery heaters from school canteen! buffet of salads, fruit and desserts! raw material not of first quality but still equals what you pay!
We went for a 70 th birthday party on a Saturday evening. The place was busy loud families talking with bottles of wine on the table, kids laughing and screaming at each other while devouring the desserts. I am not a big fan of buffets but this one was actually good. They make pasta in small batches and keep it coming, there was beef, chicken roasted to perfection, bread, amazing variety of vegetables, seafood, pizza, salads and dessert. Our group ranged in ages 8-70 and we had picky eaters who only like cheese pizza, chicken and fries and foodies who love to try new things and can identify herbs blind folded. Happy to say everyone left with a smile. The pizza is actually REALLY good. I throughly enjoyed the potato pizza with rosemary and olive oil, Brussels sprouts sautéed in tomatoes, calamari, roasted chicken and the beef. Aaron our server was amazing and the primitivo if you can get it is out of this world. It's loud it's busy it's everything Italian lol loved it for the group we had.
