I dry-aged beef in my own garage and have a special cooler just for aging meat. Today, I decided to try the prime rib since it was the last of the season and I was dining alone. It was incredible - definitely in my top 5 best prime ribs I've ever had. Jim does a fantastic job with all his meats, but today's prime rib was exceptional.
I highly recommend Papa's Meat Market - the best in the city! 10/10 rating.
I made a special trip to Papa's Meat Market because their website advertised half chickens for sale. However, when I didn't see any half chickens in the coolers, I asked the owner about it. The owner informed me that they haven't sold half chickens for 4-5 years and became rude when I mentioned their website. While I can understand occasional discrepancies with advertised products, if they haven't sold something in years, it shouldn't be on their website.
I was on Wednesday and joe was super helpful behind the counter. he was very on all food products and at the end recommended a great meat cut for me and my fiancé. we will definitely return.
We purchased multiple prepared dishes that we were so excited to try and were seriously disappointed. The small pot roast pot pies had no meat in them. At $9.99 a pie it should be all meat. We also purchased the margarita pizza pastry and it turned out to be spinach and feta. There was no label on the packaging and it appears they had the wrong pastry in the labeled margarita bin. They were disgusting and again had no feta cheese. The Swedish meatballs and shrimp scampi were good but I would not recommend this place especially for prepared foods.
