Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónIt is a fine restaurant in la réserve genève. if they stay there, it is a good restaurant, with a beautiful terrace.
Had a few maki sashimi as starter, they are always fresh and tasty. Then we had sea bass served with fries and grilled veggies. Cooked to perfection, tasty, excellent ! Champagne rosé, then Sancerre, good choice. Service is always perfect as well. You will never...be disappointed at this place.
This restaurant is set in the beautiful garden of La Reserve Hotel. The fish in particular is extremely fresh and beautifully prepared. We can only recommend it!
Disclaimer The following review is not about the La Reserve Hotel but about one of the restaurants located in this hotel. I wish there were options to rate this restaurant separately What you expect in any restaurant and I mean in any restaurant...(be it in a three Michelin or an ordinary one in the corner of your street) is transparency of price before you order any dish. Unfortunately, this is not the case at La Reserve Summer Lodge. The pricing on the fish menu is absolutely ambiguous. It is like one goes to a restaurant and orders a dish and the waiter tells the client “our chef will decide how much you are going to pay for that dish you ordered after you eat it! I have been to many places but never seen such a flawed menu pricing. We ordered a sea bass for two and paid Sfr 108. per person for a simple grilled fish! And the only reason was that the waiter did not inform us in advance about the weight of the fish when we made our orders. We simply thought we were going to get a normal size fish and it never even crossed our minds that actually we were going to be served a 1.2 Kg of sea bass at Sfr 18. per 100 grams! Can you please tell me which type of a chef would really think that a person could eat 600gr of fish per person! Okay, let’s admit it there is probably about 100 to 150 gram of waste per person when you clean that fish but still it is a huge portion of fish! At the very least they should have informed their guests in advance about the size of the fish they were going to be served when we ordered it, especially given the fact that fish arrives every day and you have no control of the sizes of each fish “selon arrivage”. But they have a choice to inform their clients “in advance” not after the fact! This is not acceptable and they should stop this practice right away. Inform their clients in advance about the price of the dish they are ordering. This is not about the money spent but about making informed decisions on how you want to spend your money. I don’t think in any circumstances they have the right to impose prices on their clients. Not a good experience!
The place is really nice with a quiet nice atmosphere for a nice evening meal but unfortunetly the service is not just poor but rather horrible, which ruins the entire vibe along with your evening. For such a hotel that is supposed to have a...professional staff that should satisfy all guests, the staff and there service is very disappointing and repels you from revisiting the place. They are rude, cocky, unprofessional and disrespectful those are just few words that can describe them! The waiter that served us acted bery rude answering us in a sarcastic manner as if we were a bunch of idiots!!!
