Balanced menu with different meal options, knowledgeable and attentive staff, beautifully prepared and presented food complimented by a comprehensive wine list, including many locals wines. Finally the most beautiful setting in which to enjoy what will undoubtedly be a marvelous meal.
What a great dining experience. The owner and his lovely wife greeted my family of 5 as if we were family. We sat outside in their garden under the trees and garden lights. The owner suggested a great local wine for our table and brought out a delicious appetizer compliments of the chef. The entire meal was so relaxed yet the food was top notch. Thank you Laetitia and Jean-François for a great evening!
We came across this restaurant on a bike ride. Booked for dinner, we were seated inside and the atmosphere was very uncomfortable. Food was very average, we were looking forward to the dessert, however we were served a cold soup instead of ice cream. The staff didn’t really make any effort for us as we didn’t speak much french. La charbonette in the next town is a much better place to visit , it’s 10/10! I’d give this restaurant 4/10
The Croix Blanche is an amazing restaurant: the location is fantastic near Chaumont: on the beautiful road between the Chateau of Chaumont and the Chateau of Amboise. As the weather was sunny, we had our lunch on the terrace within a beautiful garden, The dishes are good as well they are spectacular, the selection of the wine is broad, the staff is friendly and the prices are good value for money given this restaurant to propose here a gastronomic cuisine. The only default (as many restaurants in the region) is not to propose on the menu a main vegetarian dish. The vegetables are cooked wonderfully and might fully satisfy a vegetarian.
We booked in advance you have to it is always full. the menu of the day is the way to go as good value but we don't do puddings. we ate from the al a carte and it was fab. the owner was extremely friendly; family run and such a great place to eat comfortably in. we booked and ate in september just shows it is still busy then,
