The Spice Jammer - Victoria

Apparently this place is easy to miss. Don't do it. Pretty sure that was the best Indian food I've ever eaten. Definitely back.

Yesterday evening I've been here with a party of seven and we all found the server very attentive and helpful. The surroundings and the decor were very pleasant. The food was very delicious with generous portions and very cheap. We will definitely be back and we all recommend Spice Jammer for delicious Indian cuisine.

We visited Victoria for the weekend in summer 2015 and had made some research on various restorers. Spice Jammer had good reviews, so we decided to give it an attempt. I wish we had gone here earlier in our trip when we had come back to another meal or even two, this weekend! Their service was amazing that they were polite and attentive, but they never swore. The staff was very courteous (I have a food allergy and they have checked for a few things for me to make sure they eat OK for me) and the food was absolutely wonderful! If you like authentic Indian food, this is the place! We'll be back at our next visit.

The food was really good! A bit slow (not too much though), but the servers warn you that the kitchen prepares everything to order and that can time. Thus, the servers propose to order appetizers if you are too hungry and cannot wait that come to the table quite quickly. You have vegan options and can also make dishes gluten-free. The portions are quite felt and although I didn't order a side dish or naan, I was filled with my order of coconut Dahl. The service itself is a little slow, but at least your waters are constantly refilled! The decor is in a dark atmosphere, but beautiful. There was a table next to our table that separated the restaurant from the kitchen and you could see there crumbs and rice that do not look super clean. The servers were very friendly, even if we had a groupon, we didn't feel that we were treated differently than other customers (some other companies make you feel so sincerely).

The service and food was excellent. Good ambiance. They cook the food after you order and there's a bit of a wait good if you're wanting time to chat with a date or something, not so good if you're in a rush or starving. I found the price a bit high for what it was. That said, I'll likely go back! There aren't other restaurants that I know of who offer a higher end experience with this kind of food.
