Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe were recommended this place by a lady who sold really authentic Francesinha (another review). We rocked up to this restaurant at 7pm. To my surprise, we were told by the local residents that they only open at 8pm and close at 10pm. Anyway we came back later, and we were greeted by the boss and his assistant. The assistant patiently translated to us the contents on the menu. We were pleasantly surprised by his recommendation and we truly tasted authentic Portuguese cuisine. One more thing, you also need to order the tripas, which is the most traditional delicacy in Porto. Anyway 5 stars to this restaurant for its delicious authentic cuisine and it's great service !
Fantastic local food and ambiance. Sure, have a drink on the river but eat here to taste the real Portugal. No English means real Porto fare.
Our host made us a reservation at this local restaurant and we were not disappointed. It’s a little hard to find, as we walked by it a couple of times, but as long as you know the exact address, you will find it. Because the menu is only in Portuguese, the menu was explained to us. We chose the hake, rice and beans to share with a salad of lettuce, tomato and onion to start and finished with a lemon tart. The menu is hand written, so I believe it would change with whatever is fresh. We loved our meal and the experience of a truly local restaurant, that made us feel so welcome.
Excelwnt service and excelent food, great kitchen I woud go to the same place again when I will visit Porto city
One of the best places for eating dinner in Vila Nova de Gaia. No tourists, just locals. The octopus was really perfect. The desserts were fabulous. Highly recommended. Superb staff!
