Don't bother. First time I stayed there is no ac in any one of the rooms and it stayed hot. Found myself stuck in the area for work and booked for a night and was gonna rough it out but they absolutely had no idea what they were doing at check in. Told me they couldn't accept my credit card cause they never heard of it and they only take credit cards that come from brick and mortar banks they have heard of. I gave them a major credit, visa, and they said nope they can't take it, I gave them a u.s. bank credit card where I have an 8k limit and get cash back and they said they never heard of that either. Got the feeling they just didn't want to rent a room to me after an old rude lady interrupted and asked if they'd take her federal union and he said yes they would, but my bank is a credit union and he said they don't take that cause they don't know of it, even after his coworker Googled it he still said he never heard of it. I was wearing a women's empowerment shirt with a Instacart badge, but I am in my early 30s with bright red hair and tattoos, so maybe he was judging me by looks idk, but I was literally willing to stay at this low end motel and they wouldn't accept my major credit card. It worked out in the end, I ended up going to a nicer hotel with ac in the room and they only accept major credits and wouldn't ya know it, they took my card no problem and laughed at Lamplighter never hearing of u. s bank or open sky and thought it was weird too. Lol I even got $20 off my stay cause front desk felt bad this hotel had no idea what they are doing. So FYI no credit union credit cards, no u.s. bank credit cards, no open sky credit cards accepted at this hotel. And if it's not a name they've heard before in visalia they said they don't take it at all. I recorded the interaction as well if they respond.
We spent 2 night in this hotel. Pictures are really good and actually the landscape was good. However, the hotel is too old and they don't care about it. I've attached here a picture from the bath sink. Those cracks are home of germs. By accident we looked at the curtain and all over it was ****. What we heard when we told them? Oops! Never, ever we go back to this place and don't recommend it.
If you are just passing through this is a good place to stay. We asked the very friendly staff for a quiet room and were happy with what we got. The pool is awesome, the room was clean and big enough. It wasn’t for 2 or more nights though.
Rooms are clean and neat, but you can feel it's age. Personel is very nice and breakfast tasty. I can recommend for one night stop before sequoia park.
