Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónHello! My friends and I recently dined here after being hungry all morning. I ordered the Bean Rice Chicken and Cheese Burrito, only to find that it had no chicken or cheese. Additionally, my friend discovered a chicken bone in his burrito. I'm a big fan of El Pollo Loco, but this experience was quite disappointing. Shout out to the lady at the window, though—thank you for your service! @Ana, I hope all is well.
This is my first time in the years after El Pollo Loco. I ordered a chicken nachos for 9.99. It was okay, but very small for the price and hardly any toppings. For a few more dollars, I would have got a huge order from Carne Asada Nachos from Vallarta in Carlsbad... or some Mexican restaurant. So I was really disappointed at the cost of such a small amount of food.
The prices here are outrageous. It's $4 for a small chicken breast, while flour tortillas cost 10 cents each in Long Beach, but here they're 50 cents each. The creamy cilantro dressing is free elsewhere, but here it's 45 cents—and it was watered down. I won't be returning to this location.
For quick food, it's healthy. Chicken is baked or grilled, not fried deep, no batter, nothing of it. They contain fresh vegetables of a kind in most of their menu items. If you drink water instead of drinking soda pop, it's not a bad option. You could make a lot worse for fast food.
This restaurant was decent. Since relocating to California, we've had to adjust to the local cuisine, which is quite different from what we're accustomed to. We've explored several dining options—some we enjoyed and others not so much. However, the food here was good, and we will likely return from time to time.
