Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The mac and cheese was awful, and the potato salad was just as bad—it tasted like it was straight from Walmart. The peach cobbler was also underwhelming, and as we were leaving, I caught a glimpse of the food truck. I had told my husband that I thought the food would be amazing, but I was completely wrong. Everything was overpriced and overcooked. Considering it was a food truck, I had hoped the food would be made from scratch, but it felt like they just bought it from a store. Honestly, the quality did not justify the prices they were charging.
The smothered pork chop, rice, and fried cabbage were simply amazing! I finished every bite on my plate, leaving only the bone behind. The sweet tea was equally outstanding!
The food is incredible! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it! The dishes are outstanding!
The service: The wait is excessive. I'm talking close to an hour for a pretty basic soul food menu. On top of that, the owner Mary can be mean.Cleanliness:. Inside the truck she had cooked meat laid out on a table uncovered. The outside counter was covered in ants. The two ladies were filthy. The food: The ribs are wayyyyy overseasoned and nasty. The turnip greens were seasoned nicely but you can't eat them because they were full of gritty dirt. The green beans taste straight from a can. The macaroni was delicious. The pork chops were overcooked, but decent. The potato salad was a soupy mess.I was rooting for her but this was disgusting.
Ordered the brisket, with side of mac and cheese. Was not bad, was nothing special for both of them.BUT the cost , really not worth it. Just shy of 40 for double side mac and cheese, and the brisket. Which feeds about 2.5 people.
