My partner and I went in Sussex Hotel this weekend for unplanned lunch. The place didn't disappoint. The staff are friendly and the food....the food love it!! Love it!! Compliments to the Chef. I had the fried Salmon with mash and wasabi puree. I love the fish crispy skin. My partner had the pork and it's huge serving. We both truly enjoyed our delicious food. Will recommend for good service and excellent food

Lunch at the Sussex today 12/2/22, very impressed with the food. We had the lamb and a steak and both were cooked exactly as requested and meals were tender and tasty. Decor bright and happy in the restaurant, service was great.

Nice surprise!! Haven't been there for years as it was a bit naff but now is rejuvenated and the menu is interesting. All my fellow diners enjoyed their choice of meal. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Another lovely meal. Steak cooked to perfection and great to see a decent salad served with it. Good wine selection. Thumbs up for what is fast becoming our favourite pub!!
