Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI was really disappointed by my recent experience at Orange Anchor. When we were being seated we were told we could not be seated at our preferred table because it was reserved. However, the table remained vacant for the full 1 1/2 hours we were there. I'm not sure who it was reserved for, but they clearly knew better than to honor their reservation. On top of this the service was very slow. Our appetizer came out well before our drinks. We were told this was because the bartender was busy, but we observed him standing around a lot. What disappointed me most was how mediocre the food was. The shrimp and lobster roll was way over salted. This place clearly has a great location, but really needs to step up their game. I would recommend going to any of the other Georgetown waterfront restaurants if you have the choice. This place is definitely not worth the money.
The food is amazing and the staff is top shelf. Whether you are dining with your spouse, a few friends/colleagues or with kids, you can't beat it at OA and the waterfront crowd/scene. I've lived in Georgetown for 21 years this place is the best of the waterfront restaurants.
Nice spot but food was uneven. Great french fries, oysters were good, drinks were very good. the crab cakes were too oily and used almost a shredded crab meat. No lump meat in site. Chicken sandwich was very good.
Had lunch there, got to sit out side, happened to be $1 oyster special- yum! Great lunch!
We went to the Orange Anchor for a recent date night. We thought it would be nice to be down on the water where we could have some dinner and enjoy a walk after. There is a lot of outdoor seating, but it was full, so we sat inside. Frankly, that was better because the inside is totally open to the air as well and also had a nice view of the fountain out front. Other reviews said the service was mediocre, but our service was just fine and the place was busy. The food was also MUCH better than one would think for a casual dining place at the Harbor I was very impressed. The tuna tacos were as good as anything similar I 've had anywhere. The lobster role was stuffed full and delicious, the sauteed spinach was fresh, not overcooked, and had a nice touch of garlic, and the burger was also perfect. We had a couple of their signature mohitos, asked for some special attention to the drinks, and again they hit it spot on. Definitely will go back and recommend to friends especially visitors to the city who will want to see the Harbor.
