It was a total of 3 of us, which made the experience perfect! We pretty much got to try everything on the menu! The service was above and beyond. I would go back for the service itself. Everyone was super friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and very unique in different ways. Our server said the Pork Lychee Salad is the spotlight item on the menu and I can see why. It was my favorite item on the menu!!! The slightly sweetness with the lychee paired so well with the pork. I was in love! The pastas were all unique and tasty in their own ways. The thing we noticed was that the noodles itself were all cooked perfectly. Not too soft and not too al dente. The ribs were marinated for 3 days and you can taste the deliciousness in the meat. My only issue was with the main course, that the side included with the ribs were a little too small for the portion for the ribs. Desserts were all so great! Huge proportions! We were too full at that point to finish it all but we had to at least have a few bites of each. They do to-go bags if needed! They even gave us take home mini pasta! It was a great way to end the whole experience!
Fantastic experience. I went once with a party of six back in 2016 or so. And then, back again after they earned a Michelin star. Inventive menu. The format changed a little bit. If they ever have strawberry pasta, go directly to that and do not pass GO.
Rose 's Luxury has been on my list for over 10 years, so when my boyfriend and I moved back to VA/DC metro a few months ago, I knew this was a must visit for us. My boyfriend 's 32nd birthday was this past Saturday, and I made a reservation a month or so in advance for a table for 2 in the dining room. Everything was perfect, and the dining experience at Rose 's Luxury could not have been any more excellent! Our server Chris was great, very nice and down to earth. He was always within an earshot if we needed anything. Service here is on point: super attentive yet not overbearing like some other places can be. Each time a different staff member came out with our dishes, they had a description and threw in their own thoughts or personality with it. Loved it! The 5 course choose your own adventure was presented to us. Upon asking, I informed Chris of my kiwi allergy. He let us know a chef would mark up the menu to let us know what was safe to order. Chris could tell how bummed I was (that the beef ribs entree that I was looking forward to trying was in fact made with KIWI marinade! , so he informed us they could make an exception if we wanted to order BOTH: my boyfriend could enjoy the ribs, and I could order the mussels. This was SO generous, and kind. Right off the bat this showed me how understanding, accommodating, and thoughtful the amazing staff is at Rose 's Luxury! I never had a restaurant go above and beyond like Rose 's did for us that night. The challah bread to start was super soft, and the butter ribbons were beautifully presented. We had the grilled jumbo asparagus w/ pineapple aioli soon after, and the flavors were great and crispy jalapeno on top was a good contrast. I have siblings and friends who have dined at Rose 's so my boyfriend and I were anticipating the famous Pork Lychee salad. To our surprise, a staff member brought out not ONE but TWO for us; So you don 't have to share . We really appreciated this, and loved stirring together the flavors of our individual dishes, commenting to each other how delicious the flavors were! Third course had the option of 2 out of 3 pasta dishes (I was initially skeptical to be honest since I 'm not usually a huge pasta fan when dining out . However, Rose 's was on point with flavors!!!! We were so surprised, in the best way. Sweet Pea Pasta was bright, green, and bursting with fresh and sweet flavors. Spring Lamb Manfredi was so light and refreshing; my boyfriend and I agreed we never had ragu like that before. Our favorite was the sweet pea but honestly try both because they 're different but both amazing. Lastly, my boyfriend had the Brother 's Beef Back Ribs and I had my mussels with fish for our main entrees. The girl who presented our dishes looked me in the eye, and gently reminded me that the ribs have Kiwi in them in a humorous way, stating she 's pescatarian and sometimes would feel tempted too. This was a nice laugh, and so my boyfriend and I both dove into our meals. The mussels and fish were cooked well, (although the sauce was a tad sweeter than I expected , everything was great. My boyfriend said he enjoyed his ribs. Near the end of our meal, a really nice staff member came out, and she had a cool flower candle and mini dessert bars already plated for my boyfriend 's birthday. She made sure we were ready, and then lit the candle. To our surprise, the table next to us and to the right of us also wished him Happy Birthday. Until everyone just spontaneously burst into song together and the staff at Rose 's joined in as well. This was such a fun memory and we will always cherish the kindness of our neighboring diners and the whole entire team at Rose 's Luxury! This made our night actually our whole weekend. A great memory and amazing dining experience. They also gave us a DIY pasta kit to go bag at the end of the meal! Thank you to the whole team at Rose 's; my boyfriend and I are so grateful! He had a wonderful and unforgettable birthday at the restaurant. Overall, TLDR; please don 't hesitate to go to Rose 's Luxury for a special occasion, whether it be an anniversary, birthday, leaving a bad job, etc or any other reason. You 'll have such a memorable time with amazing staff, service, atmosphere, and delicious food!!
We had a very enjoyable experience celebrating our anniversary at Rose's. The servers were very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the dishes. We started with the challah bread and honey butter (bonus points for the creative butter ribbon). Then, we moved on to the appetizers: the pork and lychee salad, and the caviar and ice cream. The caviar and ice cream sounded very interesting. It was enjoyable but a bit underwhelming. The pork and lychee salad surprised us the most because we didn't expect all the ingredients to come together so well. We also tried the pasta al limone and mentaiko spaghetti. Both were delicious, but the mentaiko spaghetti definitely stood out more. We then shared the beef back ribs, which were cooked perfectly and not chewy at all. For dessert, we ended with a generous serving of the coconut tres leches, which was very light as described and not overly sweet. Let me know if there are any further adjustments you'd like! We also liked the ambiance as it was more of a casual fun vibe and the clean bathrooms were definitely a plus.
Rose's Luxury was an amazing dining experience. Every employee there was kind and enthusiastic. Especially our server Lindsay was awesome! The environment was beautiful and dimly lit with little lotus flowers on the table. I loved the style of the menu where you each pick an option for the three courses but then you can share everything and try a lot of food. The portions are small individually but we got very full quickly. Some highlights: I loved the ocean-flavored, room temperature pasta. Wow, it was very different from anything I've had before but was super delicious. I also enjoyed the squash blossom Rangoon. On of the servers accidentally brought us a third appetizer, so we unexpectedly got to try the cucumber salad. The cucumber salad ended up being one of my favorites. The lobster main dish was amazing. I wish I had more room in my stomach to finish it. The server brought a special birthday surprise for my friend! It was so cute and the cake bites were great! We also had the baklava sundae. I liked the sundae but I always find rose flavor too overpowering, and the rose whipped cream was no exception. My one critique is that unlike other Michelin restaurants I have been to, I could not figure out the underlying concept. The menu draws from a lot of cuisines, including Korean, Italian, Jewish, Greek. If the concept is really good food, then they nailed it! I just wasn't sure how it all came together. A+ for service, experience and food! I would come back!
